RESHMA STAFFORD, PSYD
Clinical Psychologist
ABOUT ME

I have been in private practice since 2015, working with individuals, couples and families. Additionally, I am a consulting psychologist at a nursing and rehabilitation facility.

My past experience includes working at a
college counseling center, a private practice, an inpatient setting, a partial hospital-intensive outpatient program for women, and a community mental health agency for children and adolescents.
My experiences within varied settings and with diverse populations have allowed me to develop a wide range of clinical skills that I draw on, to create a therapy program that is tailored to meet the needs of my clients. I use an integrated approach drawing from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, Family Systems therapy, Psychodynamic therapies, Humanistic therapies and Multicultural Counseling, as needed.

I received my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, in 2009. I went on to get my PsyD in Clinical Psychology, graduating from the Institute of Graduate Clinical Psychology, Widener University, in 2014.
I was born and raised in Mumbai, India and have been living in New Jersey, USA, since 1987. I am fluent in English, Hindi and Gujarati. When relaxing, I enjoy reading, gardening and long walks in nature.
